Individual Counseling Individuals, couples and families can receive individual therapy or be a member of a therapeutic psychodrama group facilitated by Kaya T. Kade, LPC. Individual therapy utilizing action methods and psychodrama resolve issues expediently. The belief that all of us know, somewhere inside, what we need to do to get to where we want to go is the foundation of the individual work. An individual can address a problem/issue/dilemma, gain clarity and get on with life, much like a car needs a tune up and continues driving.
Group Counseling Psychodrama is an experiential form of psychotherapy utilizing a variety of action methods. These methods include role playing, sculpting, concretizing, catharsis, reenactment, movement, sound, art, and play. Psychodrama moves one from isolation to relationship. This movement is facilitated by relationship to the director (therapist, group facilitator), relationship to self, and relationship to the other group members. Inner negative thought patterns are explored objectively by the use of "the double" (a group member who plays the role of the client whose drama is being enacted) and brought into relationship by the interactive drama. Thus perspective is gained and a new/more authentic personal mythology can be accessed.
A client in psychodrama is given opportunity to experience a wide range of possible feelings, responses, and interactions that can then be applied to daily life. Through the release of inner conflict, room and energy is generated for more creative pursuits in all fields of endeavors. |

Training for Professionals Training in psychodrama is a dynamic process utilizing the members of the training group to facilitate each other's growth and understanding of the methods being offered. Projection, transference, and group relationships are explored as potential entry starting points into enactment leading to resolving inner conflict and turmoil. The main hypothesis of developing sound therapeutic interventions is the ability of the therapist to access their own spontaneity. The more free the therapist is within their own being the greater the freedom brought to the therapy.
